Each year people in the television and consumer electronics industries flock to CES, the Consumer Electronics Show. The trade show highlights the newest pieces of tech and the trends we should all be on the lookout for. But how many of the trends that are "hot" at the 2017 show are destined to make a long-term impact? This run-down from Lifehacker points out a few that might have staying power.
As someone who is "cutting the cord" in about a month but still loves TV, I took notice of the live streaming TV services and DVR bundles that are looking to replace cable. I also love the idea of a super-thin television serving as art in the home when not actually serving up video content.
Pay no attention to the extraordinarily expensive post-it-note printer. I don't think that's likely to catch on.
